Blessing of the Animals

October 4th of every year is World Animal Day, St. Francis’s Feast Day.  On Oct. 6th we will have a Blessing of the Animals.

St. Francis is revered and loved as the Saint with great love and compassion for animals. In Genesis 1:25 animals are created and blessed by God, even before mankind, “God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good.”

Blessing animals joins us with our Heavenly Father and continues the tradition, as laid forth in Genesis, and exemplified by St Francis.

Come join us on Oct. 6th at 11:00 a.m. for the Blessing of Animals. All creatures great and small are invited.
